This truly unique painting method combines science and art. Learn a former scientist's proprietary techniques for painting with resin, using magnetic fields. Featured on Buzzfeed, Kathryn's method allows you to sculpt beautiful magnetic fields with household magnets and freeze them in resin.

Make Black Holes in Resin

This course will go over the basics of Kathryn's magnetic method, the science behind the process, and the safety and preparation steps you need to take. We'll cover two projects designed to teach the basics of the method; black hole resin discs and magnetic shapes on a painting.

Is Resin Experience Required?

This course is designed for resin artists, but resin experience is not necessary to start. Since this method will work with any kind of epoxy resin, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the manufacturer's instructions for resin mixing, safety and application, specific to the type of resin that you use before the course release.

What Materials Do I Need?
The course will cover all the materials you need to get started and where to buy them. We'll be working with resin, magnets and ferromagnetic pigments. An optional materials kit is available on Kathryn's website.
